Welcome

Since you seem to have stumbled onto this page, I shall offer a brief description of this blog's purpose:

Which is to record my dreams, for the purpose of training dream recall, and just plain laughing at the stupidity that is my subconscious. :)

I also apologise in advance for any and all affronts to the English language that results from typing with a brain that woke up 5 minutes ago...

Lucid Road and Retro Game Supermix

I had two dreams last night again. One of which was lucid..

Excuse the sporadic, horrible writing. I've been awake for about 5 minutes. ^^;

---

I recall being at the main road, down at the bottom of my street, and looking out to the hills in the distance. Everything had a pale, greenish grey look to it, despite it being bright and sunny. I noticed that I could partially see the water beyond the hills ( which I can't do in real life ), but there was a strange fog dancing about the hills, obscuring parts of it at random times.

This triggered me into realising that it was a dream, so I decided to walk along the road, and watched the cars that went by, to see if anything strange showed up.

The area between the local train station and traffic lights was about 4x longer than it was in real life, so it took quite a while to walk. I couldn't feel my feet hitting the concrete as I walked, it was sort of like they were passing through it. I found the sensation quite amusing. I watched the cars traveling past, as I had planned, and found it quite hilarious how random and weird some of them were.

To memory I saw:
*2 go-carts
*1 carnival truck with a miniature ferris wheel on the back
*1 convertible with a Samurai Pizza Cat driving it ( hahaha I had to do a doubletake at this in the dream XD )
*1 tram
and several vintage cars that looked like they were from the 1920's/30's.

Eventually I reached the lights, and tried to cross to the other side. I noticed that all but one lane on this road was closed off by some railings for a reason I'm not sure. As I was in the middle of the road, I got the sensation that something was going to try and run me down, and, sure enough, a coach came screaming toward me as I neared the other side.

The dream transitioned to some other street at this point, and I don't think I was quite so lucid any more. I was walking along a quiet street with lots of old victorian houses either side. I had a friend with me, and we were looking for interesting cars. I recall one being parked onto the wall of a house, that looked a bit like one of those 'land speed record' supercars. It was yellow.

I woke up briefly at this point, realised it was about 5am, and decided to try to sleep again.

Next dream featured some kind of internet challenge, that involved getting through a single level of this 'brand new video game'. I decided to take the challenge, and settled down for some gaming fun.

Turns out the game was far from 'brand new', but a complete mishmash of an uncountable ammount of retro games from the 8 and 16-bit eras. It was a 2d platformer, and along the way, the level would just randomly change it's theme and character, or just random items from games would start appearing. I recall playing as Sparkster for a bit, on some stage that looked like it was taken from the Megaman games, which led to some Alex Kidd in Miracle World part, with eggs from Psycho Fox dotted around. There was a 'moving screen' part, where the platforms ( which looked like they were from Sonic's Labyrinth Zone ) would fall away, and you had to keep on your toes.

I remember making it to the end of the level, which had the signpost and music from the Master System version of Sonic 1, and felt proud of myself ( I guess... ). But then a screen appeared and said 'special stage unlocked', which led to a level of the Game Gear game, Popils, which you had to complete in 6 steps or less.

I did not manage it. Aww. XD

Then the dream transitioned, and I was in some scene about being on a truck in the middle of the night. There was a hairy, tribal man with a sparkling gas problem tied to the back.

Thankfully my alarm went off and thus prevented this scenario from progressing *laughs* XD

Thoughts and observations:

Mini-cheddars before bed = this, apparently. XD
