Welcome

Since you seem to have stumbled onto this page, I shall offer a brief description of this blog's purpose:

Which is to record my dreams, for the purpose of training dream recall, and just plain laughing at the stupidity that is my subconscious. :)

I also apologise in advance for any and all affronts to the English language that results from typing with a brain that woke up 5 minutes ago...

Waiting for a Bus

I dreamt last night that I and some friends were planning on traveling somewhere, and so we left my house and walked to a bus stop. The area we walked through to get to it, was apparently Byres Road in Glasgow's West End, only much narrower and without nearly as much traffic.

Eventually, walking what feels like from one end of the road to the other, we found where we were going to wait for a bus. By this point, the road had become a long, narrow, almost rural looking place. There were a few cottages on one side of the road, but mostly there was grassy hills reaching all the way into the distance. One of my friends at this point mentions that the bus fares have been revised, and are now 10p cheaper than before ( how this didn't trigger me into realising this was a dream, I shall never know *laughs* ). This resulted in us swapping coins and trying to get the right fare.

Someone else who was apparently standing at the bus stop all this time asked us if we'd 'checked the maps', to see if they had been updated and the rifts were gone, yet. One of my friends then pulled a road map from their pocket, and showed it to everyone. It looked like a nondescript road map, with three oval splotches in the middle of some streets, which were supposedly the rifts. Upon seeing this, the person then says that we wouldn't like what was coming, and that we should go to another stop for a different service.

Not long after he said that, we could see these little, red shapes heading along the road toward us. There were quite a lot of them, and when they got close, I could see that they were about waist-height, and around a meter in length each. They were rectangular, bright red gums on wheels, with three or four molars still attached to the top. They didn't cause any harm, just passed on by, one after the other, but it certainly was a strange sight.

The dream then transitioned to the other end of the road, and I'm alone, at another bus stop. I'm looking to see these gum-car-things, and have a camera in my pocket to take photographs of them for whatever reasons. Though after a short while, a train pulls up, and I board it instead, forgetting about the camera and gums altogether.

During the train ride, the windows are showing demos of various old Mega Drive games, instead of scenery outside. They were pretty much all old mascot platforming games, like Sonic. And as to be expected, they weren't playing as they should. Sonic, for example, kept glitching through loop-de-loops, or showing the balancing animation whenever he jumped.

Somewhere along the line, the train is no more, and I'm just standing in an empty dirt path where train tracks disappeared into the sand. I don't remember much past wondering if it was a dream, before my alarm went off, waking me up.

Gum-cars. Seriously, brain... *shakes head in despair*
